You can’t help but smile, when you see someone playing one of these!’
Ever thought of joining the increasing numbers of people playing the ukulele? Forget images of George Formby peering into windows and hanging around lamp posts! Anyway, even though George did occasionally play a ‘classic’ ukulele, most people remember him with a banjo-ukulele, or banjolele.
I’ve been playing for the last few years, having previously played guitar. I prefer the simplicity of the ukulele and its ease of transport. One usually goes with me on holiday!
All you need is a ukulele, a willingness to learn something new and a desire to have some fun! We have a maximum of 12 members. Anyone else interested will be put on the waiting list.
