Branston & District

Heritage, Further Details

During the summer months we are usually out and about exploring our diverse county and its near neighbours. Activities include guided walks, visiting heritage sites, investigating buildings and finding out about the life of local people both past and present.

In the winter months activities move indoors. Meetings usually take place in Branston Church Hall and consist of talks on a wide range of subjects. Occasionally visits are made to Lincoln Archives to examine the wide range of documents they hold that relate to local matters. We also visit museums where exhibits provide an insight into Lincolnshire's past. Several of our winter meetings are “open” and we invite all members of Branston u3a to come along. These events are advertised in the newsletter and at the monthly general meetings.
