Branston & District

Natural History

The group usually meets on the 1st Friday of each month at the chosen venue ready for a 10.00 am start. On a minority of occasions, our monthly meeting will meet on a different day, depending on circumstances. We also arrange occasional ad hoc outings, usually for longer journeys, such as to Bempton Cliffs, Spurn Point and so on.
Meetings are normally arranged at sites in Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties. The meetings last from 2-4 hours walking steadily around the chosen reserve. We have a picnic lunch at midday then some members continue for a short while afterwards.
Interests can cover all aspects of Natural History with birds, wild flowers, butterflies and dragonflies in particular.
