We had another lovely outing on Friday at Rutland Water, with 7 of our members visiting the Lyndon reserve in the morning to see the Ospreys flying between their nest and nearby perch, and a number of other species including a solitary Whimbrel, numerous Great Created Grebe pairs, and some female (or juvenile) Mandarin Ducks. We also saw good numbers of butterflies and dragonflies, including Black-tailed Skimmers.
